Young people beginning their training at our drama school choose an Acting, Musical Theatre or Production pathway. While Acting and Musical Theatre students study many of the same core areas, each pathway has a different emphasis.
Acting pathway students focus more on screen acting, contemporary and classical texts, while Musical Theatre students explore singing technique, dance and acting through song. Production students focus on the creative and technical work behind performance, including film production, theatre lighting and sound, producing, directing and writing for performance. Alongside their production training, students also take part in acting, voice and ensemble classes, developing their performance skills and gaining a practical understanding of the actor’s creative process.
Our Foundation students work across contemporary and classical performance, with a particular focus on developing their individual skills and preparing for drama school auditions.
We provide a fully funded creative arts college with training for young people aged 16-18 years. Our fully accredited courses, led by passionate and experienced tutors, enable students to develop their skills through training and performances, gain knowledge of the arts, and progress into higher education at University or drama school.
